Our Story

Black fabric banner with white text and illustrations that reads "Ashe to Beauty Handcrafted Goods ESTD 2016" and features illustrations of plants.

I’m Zach. I build furniture with a level of personal attention you won’t find anywhere else — because every client deserves to work directly with the person crafting their piece.

Ashes to Beauty Wood was built on a simple belief: the things worth having are worth building right and building to last. While born and raised right here in Vero Beach, my woodworking journey started ten years ago while living out in the Pacific Northwest, breaking down salvaged pallets and learning how to transform wood into art. Over the years that evolved into strictly sourcing and building with hardwoods, live edge slabs and reclaimed materials. Relocating back to my hometown and transferring our woodworking here, that foundation — finding beauty in material most people throw away — hasn’t changed. Wood pulled from a fallen tree, a salvaged barn, or a forgotten lumber yard carries more character than anything sitting on a showroom floor. Belief that a table built for your home should outlast the trend that inspired it.

Every creation is a collaboration. I don’t outsource or mass produce. Instead, I take the time to listen — to your space, your vision, your lifestyle. Whether it’s a dining table for a modern coastal home, a solid hardwood desk for your business, or a live-edge conference table that tells a story, I design and build intentionally. This isn’t a production line. It’s a one-man shop where each piece gets my full attention, my hands, and my standards.

I’m proud to be a part of the Vero Beach community. When you commission a piece, you’re not sending money to a factory — you’re investing in something made right here, by someone who lives here. That connection matters. Craft built on community lasts longer than anything shipped in a box.

The name says everything. Ashes to Beauty. Raw material transformed into something that lasts. That’s the job. Furniture that carries a legacy instead of a barcode.

“Creativity shapes the story, wood carries it for generations”
